Merger with Taylor Whalley & Spyra.

In 2019 Simpson Associates merged with consultants Taylor Whalley & Spyra to form Simpson TWS.

TWS are an established and well-respected structural and civil engineering practice based in London, having originally started in Manchester 70 years ago. Between the two practices we boast over 120 years of engineering expertise.

The merger allowed Simpsons to build on a long period of steady growth, consolidate our presence in London and provided a robust succession strategy for TWS. The merger has been a great success and the two operations are now very well integrated in TWS offices in the Barbican.

The combining of resources has significantly enhanced the level of service we offer. TWS are well established with institutional, health care and local authority clients as well as complementing Simpsons core strengths in leisure, commercial and housing. TWS have extensive experience in the design of complex temporary works and central London basement construction as well as a shared enthusiasm for delicate alterations to listed buildings.

Both practices have enormously experienced and high-quality staff and share a common ethos providing a flexible, client focused and commercial service.
