The Lower Essex Street development in Birmingham reached its final phase of completion last week, marking a significant milestone for this landmark city-centre scheme.
Appointed by Galliard Homes to provide full structural and civil engineering consultancy services across RIBA Stages 4-6, our team played a key role in progressing the design and delivery of the development. The completed tower core, pictured, was constructed using a slipform system, enabling continuous and efficient vertical construction.
A standout achievement was the successful single-day pour of the 1,800m³ raft slab for the tallest tower, showcasing the scale, complexity and coordination required to bring this ambitious project to life.
