The amphitheatre we designed at Knowle Park, Cranleigh, Surrey is taking shape and looking fantastic. It’s part of an area of community parkland provided as part of a residential development in Surrey. The objective was to provide destinations, spaces and places where people can sit and relax, play or exercise, see public art, and enjoy the views. The amphitheatre is a key part of the park, providing a major feature and event space. For us civil engineers it is also fascinating from an engineering perspective, containing forward-thinking ground stabilisation solutions which will support the feature far into the future.
