Lymington Shores is a mixed-use development comprising over 300 residential units, rowing club and restaurant for Redrow Homes. Simpson were responsible for the civil and structural engineering design, which included reinforced concrete frame to accommodate a two-storey car park, which in turn supported load bearing masonry apartments above, as well as design of the on-site infrastructure and below ground drainage system. The clever architecture to create the wave-effect to the main brickwork elevations, coupled with the shark-fin style cantilever balconies created some engineering challenges which were overcome to great success in creating a development sympathetic to the surrounding area.
