Invista is a global producer of textiles and we have provided structural engineering services to this manufacturing site on an long term basis. We were part of the project team in the re-purposing of the Pontypool and Doncaster sites and have been responsible for the statutory inspections at the Gloucester site.
The site has an interesting history, having started life as a an aircraft factory. It was bombed by the German airforce in World War II. In the 1960s it became an ICI plant producing nylon before becoming part of Invista in the early 2000s.
