A new build development providing 53 homes across a large four storey block of flats and a smaller two storey building in central Grays.
The large site was a surface level car park bounded by Network Rail tracks, a road bridge and low-rise housing. Car parking was re-provided below the bridge and between the buildings.
We provided structural and civil design to Planning at RIBA Stage 3 including Flood Risk Assessment, Sustainable Urban Drainage and negotiations with Network Rail to organise the Basic Asset Protection Agreement.
The building was designed with all structural elements vertically stacking providing a very efficient structural solution without transfer required.
