Game On: London Team Takes on Fairgame

Inter-Office Football Tournament 2026

Colleagues from across the business came together yesterday at Goals Reading for another highly competitive and enjoyable Inter-Office Football Tournament, with Henley Civils successfully retaining the Simpson TWS Cup.

The evening began with a league phase featuring teams from Henley Civils, Henley Structures, London, and Gloucester. Despite a challenging start, Henley Civils secured top spot in the standings on goal difference ahead of London, with Henley Structures and Gloucester completing the table.

Final League Positions

  1. Henley Civils – 6 points (+2 GD)
  2. London – 6 points (-3 GD)
  3. Henley Structures – 6 points (+1 GD)
  4. Gloucester – 3 points (0 GD)

The knockout stage saw Henley Civils defeat Gloucester 8-3 in the first semi-final, while London overcame Henley Structures 3-1 to book their place in the final.

A special mention goes to the London team, whose journey to the final marked a significant improvement on last year’s tournament, when they scored just one goal across the entire competition. Their performances throughout the evening demonstrated the progress they have made over the past 12 months.

Gloucester also deserve recognition for their spirited performances. Their impressive 6-4 victory over Henley Structures was one of the highest-scoring and most entertaining matches of the tournament, and they remained highly competitive throughout the evening.

While Henley Structures can still claim some bragging rights after convincingly defeating Henley Civils during the league stage, Henley Civils showed tremendous resilience to recover from that setback, progress through the knockout rounds, and claim a 4-1 victory over London in the final.

Congratulations to all those who took part, and thank you to everyone involved in organising another successful and enjoyable event.
