This scheme delivers 48 much-needed affordable homes for London Borough of Newham, comprising 32 units at London Affordable Rent and 16 shared ownership units.
The linear site includes an existing Victorian depot building. Whilst the existing structure of this building was in a poor state of repair, the existing façade and first floor bridge was retained as part of the new design.
The scheme is designed with Passivhaus principles to reduce energy use and carbon emissions both during both construction and once the building is occupied.
We provided structural and civil engineering design to Planning and Tender Stages including the Flood Risk Assessment and Sustainable Urban Drainage design.
