Originally the Crown Plaza Hotel, the Ace Hotel scheme was a full refurbishment with significant structural alterations. Originally built in two phases, the alterations included linking the two buildings at ground floor. On the top floor the existing curved steel frame roof was cut back and re-supported to form a new terrace to the bar and restaurant.
